Component Manipulator

When you need to move an existing support to a new location along the supporting pipe, the Component Manipulation tool is recommended.

Accessed from:

This tool uses the Component Placement Dialog (which is also used when placing a component using the Free Placement method) allowing you to define specific distances and rotation angles when relocating the component.

Note: When using the Component Manipulator option to relocate a component, you must use the Component Placement dialog to define the distances, rotation etc. Trying to use the mouse to pick a new location will cancel the command.
SettingDescription
Use Local Coordinate System Allows you to use the original placement location of the component as the local origin point (0,0,0) and define the distances relative to that point.
Rotation Provides three different rotation orientations for the component. If you hover the mouse over the Rotation header an image displays providing a visual description of the different options.

Once you have defined the new location and rotation for the component, click OK to apply the changes.
