Drawing Rule dialog - Attribute Labels tab
Contains controls for manipulating Mechanical discipline label symbology and also used to define custom label variables. Component information about part/family, dimension/diameter, insulation/lining, status, material, pressure class and airflow can be attached to resymbolized graphics during the drawing composition process or at any time in a Promoted Building dynamic view.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Attributes | Contains list of available member attributes describing Mechanical components. |
Custom Labels | Lists custom labels, managed by user. You can add, copy or remove the custom labels in Mechanical rules. |
Display for Selected Attribute | When on, the selected attribute's settings become
active.
Settings applicable to currently selected attributes only get enabled. |
Position | Controls the location of the label relative to the
resymbolized component.
|
Above/Below (label placement) | Controls label's center line offset distance by selecting a direction and entering a value. Selecting Above places the label above the resymbolized component. Selecting Below places the label below the resymbolized component. |
x Text Height | Used to enter a numeric value to set a label offset for placement above or below resymbolized component based on the label's text height. |
Text Style | Selects an available text style for labels. Use the Text Styles tool to load or create text styles. |
Height | Used to enter a numeric value for label text height. |
Width | Used to enter a numeric value for label text width. |
Font | Selects an available font for labels. |
Justification | Sets the alignment of the text used in the label. The setting is independent of the label offsets. |
Level | Sets the level for labels. |
Color | Sets the color for labels. |
Weight | Sets the line weight for labels. |
Format | Displays label format that is currently active. The Format allows for user defined notes to be added when label is created. There are no restrictions to what can be typed in this field. The drawing rule generated attribute label is parenthesized by the expression < %VALUE% >. Two part dimension labels are separated < %VALUE% x %VALUE% >. The format also supports a %SHAPE% keyword. When required, pre-pending or appending the string with %SHAPE% adds the shape symbol to the resulting string. Rectangular ducts do not have a symbol. |
Add Attribute | Opens the Define Custom Label Variable dialog, where you can define the attributes string using the options for what to display and in what format. |
