To Create a Grid System

Select
(
Grid Systems
Manager
).
The Grid Systems dialog appears with no grids defined.

Select
from the Grid
Systems dialog Grid Systems Settings toolbar.
A default orthogonal grid definition is previewed on the Grid Systems dialog. The default grid has four grid lines on the X axis and 5 grid lines on the Y axis.

Open the
Y Grids tab, select Y grids 4 and 5 (press
<Ctrl> to select multiple grid lines), and select
Remove from the
Grid Line Settings toolbar.
The grid preview updates. The grid now has three Y grid lines and four X grid lines.

Remain in the
Y Grids tab, and enter values
10:0 and
20:0 in the
Distance column for Y grid lines 2 and 3.
The grid preview updates with these changes.

Open the
X Grids tab, and enter values
20:0,
20:0, and
20:0 in the
Distance column for X grid lines B, C and D.
The grid preview updates with these changes.

On the Grid System Settings, select the orthogonal grid (the only
one), and enter
Grid1 in the
Name column.
This renames the grid definition.

While Grid1 is still active, select a
Start Floor and an
End Floor.
Grid1 is now previewed on both the Grid Systems dialog preview panels.

Repeat the above steps if you want to add more Grid definitions
else click
OK.
The Grid Systems dialog closes. A grid definition is created for each selected floor.
