This task explains how to change an existing Symbol Subtype into another one and also how to get rid of a Symbol Subtype.

1. Select a symbol in the drawing. Given example shows the symbol subtype L4.
2. Select (Add/Modify Subtype). Opens the Objects Properties ‹Subtype› dialog.
   
   
   
   The Subtype active is highlighted.
3. Select different Subtype, here D5.
4. Click OK to apply.
   
   
   
   Subtype is replaced in drawing.

Note: To remove Subtype from a symbol, select <none> in the Symbol Subtypes list.
