Structural Import Tools

Structural import tools are used for importing and roundtripping data files from external analysis applications, steel detailing standard formats and Structural/BIM standards schemas. These imported files are used by the Structural discipline to apply changes resulting from analysis, optimizing the Structural design. They are also used to exchange Structural models originating in steel detailing applications that work with the CIS/2 and SDNF formats. Finally, building datasets can be imported from other BIM (Building Information Modeling) applications via the IFC format.

To Select
Import Structural models from the CIS/2 (CIMsteel Integration Standards) format. CIS/2 Import
Import Structural models from the SDNF (Structural Detailing Neutral Files) format. SDNF Import
Import Structural datasets from the IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) schema. IFC Import
Note: IFC Import vs IFC Open: It is recommended to open IFC's to reference instead of importing them.
