Create ISM Repository

Used to create an ISM (Integrated Structural Model) repository by exporting Structural members to the ISM environment. The exported repository file (*.ism.dgn), is available to be opened and reviewed with Structural Synchronizer.

Setting	Description
Create ISM...	Selecting the Create ISM Repository tool (while none of the objects is selected in the view) opens the ISM Export dialog. While some of structural objects are selected, the tool opens the Export Select Set to Created SubStructure dialog that assigns names to substructure. The ISM Export dialog is used to review information about the members eligible for export.

Tip: Use the key-in argument ism repository to export a Structural model to an ISM repository with a single key-in, bypassing the ISM Export dialog. For instance, STRISMLINK EXPORT c:\ism\sample.ism.dgn.
