Elevate Point

Incline a roof section by specifying a height, angle, or pitch and selecting the point to elevate.

Accessed from:

  • Ribbon: Energy Simulator > Modify Roof Element > Elevate Point

SettingDescription
Method There are several methods for elevating a roof section point. Select a method from the drop-down list:
  • From roof level — Elevates the roof section's selected point by the specified Height value measured from the roof definition's elevation which was defined in the Add New Roof dialog.

  • Change height — Elevates the roof section's selected point by the specified Height value measured from the current elevation of the roof section. The current elevation may differ from the set elevation (in the Roof dialog box) if the roof section was moved prior to using the Elevate point tool.

  • Slope angle — Elevates the roof section's selected point by the specified Angle value measured using the roof section's opposite parallel edge as the vertex.

  • Pitch — Elevates the roof section's selected point by the specified Pitch value. Pitch is calculated by multiplying the pitch value entered by the distance between the point to be elevated and the roof section's opposite edge.

Height Enabled for the From roof level and Change height methods. Specifies the distance value used for the elevation change.
Angle Specifies the angle value used for the elevation change.

Pitch Specifies the pitch value used for the elevation change.
