Structural Section File Manager

Used to load and unload Structural section definition files. Section Files displays the loaded section file paths.

  • Backstage: Backstage: > File > Settings > Building > Load Steel Section Libraries


SettingDescription
Files Used to display the selected section files and other files located in the directories being browsed. The upper field is blank until a file is selected from the list below.
Directories/Drives Used to browse for Structural section files.
List Files of Type Used to filter section file types.
  • *.xml – Section files are standardized in the *.xml format. This format replaces the original *.stf format enabling viewing, sorting and filtering functionality throughout the application.
  • *.mdb – The *.mdb file format is a standard database type where Structural section data is stored.
  • *.* – If desired, all file types are able to be displayed.
Section Files Directory paths of the loaded section files are displayed in this region. The entries are selectable.
Add Enabled when a section file is selected from the Files fields. Adds a section to the application session. Select multiple files by pressing <Ctrl>.
Remove Enabled when a section file is selected from the Section Files list. Removes a section file from the application session.
Done Loads the selected section files into the application session, and closes the dialog.
Cancel Closes the dialog without implementing any changes.

Note:
  • TFSECMGR LOAD manually loads section definition files
  • TFSECMGR UNLOAD manually unloads section definition files
  • TFSECMGR RELOAD reloads all section definition files stored in the preferences file (tfprefs.rsc).
