OpenBridge Modeler

Benchmark

Used to add a benchmark (i.e., North symbol) to your model, which may be evaluated at later stages of modeling or drawing production in different ways.

Accessed from:
  • Ribbon: Steel > Drawing Production > Annotation > Bechmark

US-benchmark-symbols are available to help with the assembly of girders by indicating their alignment during installation. The point of the compass, which indicates north, is situated at the left side of the symbol or above if it is aligned horizontally (or at the upper end if it is aligned vertically).

You have to define the cell in your model drawing or as external drawing containing the cell attribute LABEL to apply user-defined symbols. This attribute is filled with the current text for alignment.
