To add a user-defined strip footing

  1. Select (Strip Footing).

    The Continuous Footing dialog opens.

  2. In the Shape Type drop-down list, select User Type. The Dimensions fields change labels to Shape Class and Shape Size.
  3. In the Dimensions > Shape Class field, select the library in which you created the user shape.
  4. In the Dimensions > Shape Sizefield, select the user shape from the drop-down list.
  5. Set the X-Offset for placement, if necessary.
  6. Place the strip footing using one of the placement options.
    • Insert Strip Footing by Specified Points
    • Insert Strip Footing by 2D Smartline, Circle, or Arc
  7. Place the strip footing using one of the options described below.
  8. Click OK to apply your settings and close the dialog.
