Display Parameters (display.sys)

The appearance of most elements of reinforcement details are controlled via parameters within display.sys in your project directories.

This file is a text file and should be edited with your normal text editor.

Each display parameter appears as a four letter name with the format:
NAME = Value

Two or three lines of comments accompany each parameter, briefly describing their use. Comments are identified by two slashes " // " at the start of a line. You can add extra comments to the file, if necessary.

Note: Many elements of the 2D Rebar details are drawn to appear on the final drawing at the same paper size regardless of drawing scale. Therefore, some display parameters, which control the size of reinforcement features, are specified in paper-size units. 2D Rebar establishes the size of its paper-sized entities in the "real world" coordinate system by multiplying the current scale factor by the value of the display parameters provided in display.sys. Paper-size parameters are identified in the description below where units are specified as " (mm, paper size) ".
Parameters are presented in alphabetical order and divided into the following categories:
  • General Reinforcement
  • Section Reinforcement
  • Bar Range Reinforcement
  • Reinforcement Labeling
  • Colors / Weights
  • Miscellaneous

Please open the display.sys file in notepad for additional information.
