RSS Reader

RSS Reader gives you the convenience of getting Bentley update notifications and relevant news delivered right within your Bentley software via RSS (Rich Site Summary). The RSS Reader's feeds originate from Bentley web pages (including Bentley Communities) and you can easily set preferences for which feeds you receive.

Introduction to RSS

Rich Site Summary (RSS), also known as Really Simple Syndication, is an online content subscription technology, which lets information be distributed in a standardized format to all its subscribers.

The primary advantage you get from RSS is the collated published content from multiple web sources in one place, which means you no longer have to visit different websites to obtain the latest information on your topics of interest. These updates are received in the form of feeds, also known as RSS feeds, XML feeds, syndicated content, or web feeds. Feeds are content packages which contain frequently published content as text or other media.

Using RSS Reader

RSS Reader is a simple browser dialog which lets you get all the up to date feeds from the product websites and communities. You can also set the preferences for the feeds you get. For example, you can:

subscribe to specific products.
get the preferred categories.
filter your RSS feeds as per sorting preferences.
search for specific feed.
