To Migrate a Custom Toolbox and Assign a Keyboard Shortcut to It

Let's assume that you have a custom toolbox created in the previous version of MicroStation PowerDraft. You want to migrate it as a group in the ribbon. Then you would assign a keyboard shortcut to the group so that it easily displays at your pointer when you press the keyboard shortcut.
  1. Open the DGN Library in which your customizations are stored.
  2. Do one of the following:

Select File > Settings > User > Customize Ribbon .

Right-click in the blank space in the ribbon and select Customize Ribbon from the pop-up menu.

    The Customize Ribbon dialog opens.

  3. In the Customize Ribbon dialog's Ribbon section, select Toolboxes (Custom) from the Choose components from drop-down list.
  4. In the list below Customize the Ribbon, navigate to the desired workflow, tab, and the group below which you want to add the custom toolbox as a group.
  5. Do one of the following:

From the list below Choose components from, select the custom toolbox and then click Add.

From the list below Choose components from, select and drag the toolbox to the desired location in the list below Customize the Ribbon.

  6. Click Apply.

The custom toolbox is converted as a new group in the ribbon.

  7. Open the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog ( File > Settings > User > Keyboard Shortcuts .)
  8. In the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog, select the parent key within which you want to add the child key for the new group.
  9. Click Add Child.

  10. In the Key column, enter the child shortcut key and press <Enter>.
  11. In the Label column, enter the label that should be displayed for the group and press <Enter>.
  12. In the Key-in column of the list box, enter the key-in of the resulting group that you want to display in the following syntax and press <Enter>:

    ribbon grouppopup Workflow\Tab\Group

  13. Click Save.
When you press the parent keyboard shortcut followed by the child keyboard shortcut, the custom group is displayed at your pointer.
