To Apply a Fixed 2D Constraint

  1. Select the Fixed 2D Constraint tool ( Drawing > Constraints > 2D ).

  2. Select the element or segment.
Note: Selecting the end point of a line will fix that end point's position and selecting the line (click anywhere between the endpoints) will fix the direction of that line.
  3. Enter a data point to apply the constraint.
Note: Element can still be moved and rotated by Move and Rotate manipulation tools.

Fixed 2D Constraint

In the Fixed 2D Constrain, you can now create an Anchor point. Using an Anchor Point will prevent the shape from moving or rotating, while a simple fixed point will only make the selected point fixed for resolving the degrees of freedom. Additionally, you can check or toggle a fixed or anchor point from the Properties dialog.
