To Create Variable Print Definitions

  1. In the Print Organizer dialog, select Edit > Preferences.

    The Preferences dialog opens.

  2. Set the Enable variable print definitions check box if it’s not set, and then click OK.
    Note: Print Organizer must be restarted before this change can take effect.
  3. Do one of the following:

    In the Print Organizer dialog, select File > Add Files to Set.

    or

    Drag files (DGN, DWG, raster, PDF, or i-models) from Windows Explorer into Print Organizer.

    or

    Drag models from the Models dialog into Print Organizer.

    or

    Drag links from Explorer into Print Organizer.

    or

    Select File > Add Active File to Set.

    The Create Print Definitions dialog opens.

  4. Click Add.

    The Select Files dialog opens.

  5. Navigate to the desired folder and select the names of the files you want to add.
    Tip: You can select multiple files by holding down the <Ctrl> key as you select the files. Alternatively, you can double-click a file to send it to the Input files list box.
  6. Click Done.

    The Select Files dialog closes and the selected files are added to the Input files list box.

  7. Type in a Print style name or select Browse to locate a print style.
    Note: Print styles are stored in the open DGN file or in a DGN library.
  8. Click OK.

    The Create Print Definitions dialog closes and the print definitions are added to Print Organizer.
