To Create a Parametric Solid by Extruding an Existing Planar Element (Profile)

  1. Select the Extrude tool.
  2. Select the profile element.
  3. Enter a second data point.
    If Distance is This data point defines the
    On Direction that the profile element is extruded.
    Off Direction and distance that the profile element is extruded.


    Left: Select the profile element. Right: Define the distance and direction of the extrusion. With Thickness set to zero, the extrusion is solid.
