SettingDescription
Copies Sets the number of copies to create.
Use Fence If on, the fence contents are copied. The option menu sets the Fence (Selection) Mode.
Key-in: COPY ICON
Key-in: [FENCE] COPY [ELEMENT]
Tip: When you do not require precision, you can copy one or more selected elements by selecting them and dragging one of the elements by any point on the element except the handles while holding down the <Ctrl> key. (First start dragging and then press the key.)
Tip: Choosing Copy from the Reset pop-up menu selects the Copy Element tool. When the tool is selected in this manner, the copy operation affects all selected elements.
Note: To constrain the movement of copies to multiples of an angle, use AccuDraw in conjunction with the Copy tool.
Note: If you copy elements from an attached reference, the elements' levels will be copied if only they do not exist in the active model. To change how levels are handled, choose Preferences from File > Settings > User > Preferences and select the Reference category.
Note: If you copy tagged elements in a reference, the tags are automatically attached to the associated element in the active model.
Note: Using special fence manipulations, you can copy the fence contents to a new DGN file.
Note: You cannot stretch all vertices outside of the fence. Because Stretch is treated as a Fence Mode, you cannot combine Void and Stretch.
Note: The Fence Stretch option works the same from both the Copy Element and Move Element settings window.
