Torus Feature

Used to place a parametric torus (a donut shaped solid).

SettingDescription
Axis Sets the direction of the axis of revolution.
  • Points — Direction of axis of revolution is defined graphically. AccuDraw can be used to define the drawing plane on which the points are placed.
  • Screen X, Y, or Z — Direction of the axis of revolution is set to the screen's X, Y, or Z axis.
  • Drawing X, Y, or Z — Direction of the axis of revolution is set to the drawing's (or model's) X, Y, or Z axis.
Primary Radius If on, sets the primary radius (the radius about which the torus' profile is swept).
Radius If on, sets the radius of the torus' profile.
Angle If on, sets the sweep angle of the profile about the axis of revolution.
Equation icons

Located adjacent to the Primary Radius, Radius, and Angle settings. Each icon is enabled when the relative setting is turned on. Opens a dialog that lets you define each setting with variables. For more information, see Variable Driven Modeling and Constraints.
