Link Target Dialog

Used to select links to files and add them to your link set.

You can access this dialog from the following:

Explorer dialog : on the Links tab, select Create Link > Link from File, select the file you want to add, and select Open

The Link Target dialog displays the files you selected, with the targets in each file listed below the file's name. The icon next to the target indicates its file type.

You can select multiple targets by holding <Ctrl> key.

Setting	Description
DGN file icon	The selected target is a DGN file. `PROJECT` `CREATE` `LINK FILE` [ `<path\DGN_file_name>` ] `PROJECT` `CREATE` `LINK` `FROMFILE` Note: The difference between the PROJECT CREATE LINK FILE and PROJECT CREATE LINK FROMFILE key-ins is that in the first one you can specify the file path and file name after the key-in. If you do not do this, the key-ins work the same and open the Create Links dialog.

3D Design Model icon	The selected target is a 3D design model. `PROJECT CREATE` `LINK DGNMODEL` [ `<path\DGN_or_DWG_file_name>` ] [ `<design_model_name>` ]
Drawing Model icon	The selected target is a drawing model. `PROJECT CREATE` `LINK DGNMODEL` [ `<path\DGN_or_DWG_file_name>` ] [ `<drawing_model_name>` ]
Saved Views icon	The selected target is a saved view. `PROJECT CREATE` `LINK DGNVIEW` [ `<path\DGN_or_DWG_file_name>` ] [ `<view_name>` ]
Drawing Boundary icon	The selected target is a drawing boundary. `PROJECT CREATE LINK DRAWINGTITLE` [ `<path\DGN_or_DWG_file_name>` ] [ `<sheet_model_name>` ] [ `<drawing_title_name>` ]

LinkSet link icon	The selected target is a link set link. `PROJECT` `CREATE` `LINK` `LINKSET`
Key-in link icon	The selected target is a key-in link. `PROJECT` `CREATE` `LINK` `KEYIN`
Configuration Variable link icon	The selected target is a configuration variable link. `PROJECT` `CREATE` `LINK` `CONFIGVAR`
Folder link icon	The selected target is a folder link. `PROJECT` `CREATE` `LINK` `FOLDER`
DWG file icon	The selected target is a DWG file. `PROJECT` `CREATE` `LINK FILE` [ `path\DWG_file_name` ]
Word Document icon	The selected target is a Microsoft Word document. `PROJECT` `CREATE` `LINK FILE` [ `path\Word_file_name` ]
Word Heading icon	The selected target is a Microsoft Word document heading. `PROJECT CREATE LINK WORDHEADING` [ `path\Word_file_name` ] [ `Word_heading_name` ] [ `Word_heading_number` ]
Word Bookmark icon	The selected target is a Microsoft Word document bookmark. `PROJECT CREATE` `LINK WORDBOOKMARK` [ `path\Word_file_name` ] [ `Word_bookmark_name` ]
Excel Workbook icon	The selected target is a Microsoft Excel workbook. `PROJECT` `CREATE` `LINK FILE` [ `<path\Excel_workbook_name>` ]

PDF Bookmark icon	The selected target is an Adobe bookmark. `PROJECT CREATE` `LINK PDFBOOKMARK` [ `<path\PDF_name>` ] [ `[PDF_bookmark_number]` ]
