Some tools require more spatial input and feedback than a traditional dialog or tool settings window can provide. These tools use a Tool Widget (or "widget"), which is an interactive on-screen object that extends the tool settings and can host multiple handles. Tool widgets are represented by dashed lines. They are commonly used in 3D construction tools.

The example below shows the tool widget used by the Place Fitted Section tool. It contains several handles.
