To Create a Mesh from Points Using Global Z or View

Select the Mesh from Points tool ( Modeling > Mesh > Create ).
Do one of the following:

Set Direction to Global Z.

or
Set Direction to View.

Note: If you set the view rotation to Top when using View, the results will be the same as Global Z.
Select the necessary elements with a selection set. <Ctrl + click> to select additional elements.
Click to create a mesh from the selected elements.
