There are two ways to insert fields in text that contain element, model, or file properties:

• The easiest way is to drag property values from the Properties dialog.
• You can use the Select Field Type dialog and Fields Editor dialog, which open from the right-click, pop-up menu in the Text Editor window.

You can edit an inserted field (Element Properties, File Properties, Model Properties, Sheet Index Properties, or Sheet Index Folder Properties) in the Text Editor window regardless of whether you are in the act of placing a text element, with the Place Text tool, or editing an existing text element, with the Edit Text tool.
