To Release the Lock on a Deactivated Reference

  1. In the References dialog's list box, select the list entry for the reference.
  2. In the list entry's Activate Status column, click the gray check mark.

    An Alert dialog opens.

  3. In the Alert dialog, click OK to release the write lock on the reference.
  4. To re-enable the Alert you will have to Activate the reference again and double-click the black dot in the Activate Status column in the References dialog.
