Table Tools Contextual Tab

Note: Select a link to "jump" to the desired Table Tools group.
             

Table Options

The Table Options group has the following check boxes:

 
  • Title Row
  • Set the first row of the table as title row.
 
  • Header Row
  • Set the row following the title row as the header row. If the table does not contain a Title row, then set the first row as header row.
 
  • Footer Row
  • Set the last row of the table as footer row.
 
  • First Column
  • Set the first column of the table as header column.
 
  • Last Column
  • Set the last column of the table as footer column.
             

Table Size

  • Height
  • Set the height of the table.
  • Width
  • Set the width of the table
 
  • Lock Aspect Ratio
  • Lock aspect ratio of the table.
             

Rows and Columns

  • Delete Column
  • Delete the selected columns.
  • Delete Row
  • Delete the selected rows.
  • Insert Above
  • Insert a row above the selected rows.
  • Insert Below
  • Insert a row below the selected rows.
  • Insert Left
  • Insert a column to the left of the selected columns.
  • Insert Right
  • Insert a column to the right of the selected columns.
             

Merge

  • Split Cells
  • Split the selected cells into multiple new cells.
             

Cell Size

  • Height
  • Set the height of the selected cells.
  • Width
  • Set the width of the selected cells.
             

Alignment

  • Left Justify
  • Align text with left justification.
  • Center Justify
  • Align text with center justification.
  • Right Justify
  • Align text with right justification.
  • Align Top
  • Align text to the top.
  • Align Center
  • Align text to the center.
  • Align Bottom
  • Align text to the bottom.
  • Text Direction > Horizontal
  • Orient text horizontally within the selected cells.
  • Text Direction > Rotate Right
  • Orient text rotated 90 degrees right from horizontal within the selected cells.
  • Text Direction > Rotate Left
  • Orient text rotated 90 degrees left from horizontal within the selected cells.
  • Text Direction > Vertical
  • Orient text vertically within the selected cells.
  • Cell Margins > Normal
  • Set normal margins within the selected cells.
  • Cell Margins > None
  • Set zero margins within the selected cells.
  • Cell Margins > Narrow
  • Set narrow margins within the selected cells.
  • Cell Margins > Wide
  • Set wide margins within the selected cells.
             

Table Symbology

  • Fill
  • Set the fill color of the selected cells.
  • Borders > None
  • Show or hide table borders.
  • Borders > All
  • Apply color, line style, and line weight to all borders of the selection.
  • Borders > Outside
  • Apply color, line style, and line weight to borders outside the selection.
  • Borders > Inside
  • Apply color, line style, and line weight to borders inside the selection.
  • Borders > Top
  • Apply color, line style, and line weight to the top border of the selection.
  • Borders > Bottom
  • Apply color, line style, and line weight to the bottom border of the selection.
  • Borders > Left
  • Apply color, line style, and line weight to the left border of the selection.
  • Borders > Right
  • Apply color, line style, and line weight to the right border of the selection.
  • Borders > Inside Horizontal
  • Apply color, line style, and line weight to the horizontal borders inside the selection.
