To Clear a Tab Stop

In the Text Editor window, right-click on the Tab ruler and choose Indentation & Tab Settings. The Edit Indentation & Tab Settings dialog opens.
Select a tab stop from the list box and click Remove.
The tab is removed.

You can also clear a tab stop by clicking on the Tab stop marker in the Tab ruler.
