To Split a Surface At Crease Iso Curves

Select the Split Surface tool ( Modeling > Surfaces > Modify Surfaces ).
Set the Method to At Crease Iso Curves.
Select the surface.
Accept/Reset.

A crease line can be created by combining two surfaces with the Combine Surfaces tool. In this example the color of one side of the split has been changed.
