Model Composition ribbon

The Model Composition ribbon contains Drawing Wizard used to get the drawings into Pedestrian Simulation and several of simulation tools supporting clean up to the drawings before it is merged and sent to LEGION Model Builder.
You can access the following Model Composition tools here:
  • Drawing Wizard - Access the Composite Drawing Wizard for LEGION Model Builder that guides you to get the composite model prepared as to compatible Pedestrian Model ready for simulation.
  • Levels - Access the level managing tools to assist in getting a systematic clean up of the drawings to get an obstacle-free walkways without any overlap. You can view the geometry in simulation levels, by switching the level, hide, or remove levels. You will get to see those simulation enabled layers in LEGION Model Builder when the model is imported.
    • Level Filter - Sets the Level filter for LEGION Model Builder, can be toggled on/off.
    • Level Off - Changes level to Display off.
    • Simulation Area Level -Sets the Simulation Level, applies when defined.
    • Presentation Level - Sets the Presentation Level, applies as defined.
    • Hidden Level - Sets the Hidden level, applies as defined.
    • Delete - Deletes selected elements.
  • Boundary Edge - Used to place boundary edge for the simulation area. The Place Smartline settings interface is used to draw a closed shape using line segments drawn with vertices or an arc drawn using the center and desired sweep angle.
  • Simulation Area Flood - Used to cleanup simulation area by creating flood to interior shape and by locating an interior dynamic area.
  • Displayset Filters - Based on levels, these tools activate the Simulation Area, Presentation, and Hidden displaysets respectively. The Simulation checks for valid Levels, and prompts when not defined or used. Displayset Add/Remove/Clear tools allow you to change which displayset elements can be placed on.
  • Drawing Check - Displays the popup of checklist that represents the active model status for export requirements to LEGION Model Builder.
Checks are made for the following:
    • Active drawing should be 2D,
    • Active drawing should contain only one model,
    • Active drawing should not contain any References.
The validated status result is indicated with a green tick mark, when passing and a red cross when failing.
  • Model Builder - Used to access and switch between LEGION Model Builder from your working CAD application.
