AssetWise CONNECT Edition Help

To Run a Disposition Schedule

All move or processing of destruction orders in AssetWise require human intervention. Documents that have reached maturity based on the rules set out in a file plan, must be reviewed and verified by someone, before they can be destroyed or archived. If the document contains an electronic file, destruction or archiving may be processed automatically by AssetWise after verification and approval. Documents that are not electronic media must be physically archived or destroyed.

You can manually run a job that processes all disposal records. When a Disposition Schedule has been run, it lists the pending records for all file plans, on the Pending Records tab. This job can be configured in the database, to run on scheduled intervals.

Any records that could not be processed due to an exception, appear on the Exceptions tab.

Follow these steps to run the disposition schedule on records in AssetWise CONNECT Edition.
  1. From the Records Management page, click Run Disposition Schedule. A dialog appears, confirming that the disposition schedule has been updated.
  2. Click OK. The Pending Records tab displays a list of all pending records.
