The Match option on Stair Properties panel allows you to place stairs matching the stair attributes with one that already exists.

This option inherits the properties of an existing stair to the new stair of even different assembly, any configuration or orientation. The match button enables you to set current active settings to match the parameters of existing stairs in the open model. This saves time when placing matching stairs in a model.
