Properties For: Floor

Contains controls used to set floors data such as the floor name and to change the referenced drawing used to design the floors in your project building. If the floor has a roof design on it, roof data is also included.



Opens when the Floor Project Tree object´s pop-up menu is activated in the AECOsim Energy Simulator Project Tree and the Properties menu item is selected.

Note: The Properties For: Floor dialog box is a specialized instance of the Properties dialog box which displays only floor properties.
Tip: Units Display – Units are displayed using the default system of units that was defined for the project, but can be changed to display using alternative units.
SettingDescription
Name Used to enter a name for the floor. By default, the Name field displays the floor name as defined when referencing a floor plan drawing on the Add floor dialog box.
Drawing Displays the path and file name of the DGN file that was referenced in the Add floor tool’s workflow.

You can select a different drawing by clicking the browse button. This opens the Select drawing dialog box.

Model If the referenced floor plan drawing is a DGN file, the DGN models contained therein are listed in the Model drop-down list. Select the DGN model to reference.
Level Displays the floor elevation.
Roof Displays roof information if a roof is present. Only floors that are setup with a roof can display roof information.
  • Name — Displays the roof name as it appears in the AECOsim Energy Simulator Project Tree. The Name property is read only.
  • Level — Displays the roof elevation set in the roof designer workflow. The roof Level property is read only.
Notifications panel Used to validate project data and resolve issues with project data in real time (as it is being entered in the Properties For: dialogs) via errors, warnings and messages.
