Subsurface Utilities CONNECT Edition Help

2018 Release 3 - Release Notes

Hydraulics & Hydrology Enhancements
  • This version uses Haestad version 10.01.01.04, and includes relevant fixes from the cumulative patch set.
  • Tabular annotation functionality is now available for Subsurface Utilities profile drawings. This uses Text Favourites, which can already be used for plan annotation, and profile annotation relative to elements, to provide both the value and the formatting for the annotation.
  • The 2D cell that is used to draw a node in plan is now drawn using all of the elements in the cell, including text, hatching, etc. Previously, only a subset of the elements that the cell contained were drawn. Note - this means that the construction class graphics which are used to align and rotate the cells, and the connection regions, will also be drawn. However, since they are construction class elements their display can simply be toggled off in View Attributes.
  • If a storm or sanitary element is selected in the graphics, or anything else (such as the properties of a scenario) that displays information in the Hydraulic Analysis tab of Utility Properties, then this tab is now automatically displayed above the Subsurface Utilities tab.

Defects Resolved

  • If a node is inserted into a conduit without splitting the conduit, the node is now ruled correctly to the conduit, so that if the conduit moves, the inserted node is updated.
  • The icon for Utility Properties is now slightly different to the icon for MicroStation Properties, to avoid confusion.
  • The right-mouse button menu items in the Explorer for creating profile runs have had their names changed to match the icons that are available on the Layout ribbon.
  • Imperial only. The default height for a node, which is a property of a node feature definition, was being incorrectly converted from imperial to metric when the node was placed. This has now been resolved. Note - the DGN Library will need to be amended to reset the value correctly.
