Results Files

Subsurface Utilities stores the results from computing a scenario in a series of files. A set of results files will be created for each scenario that is computed, and making a scenario current causes the relevant set of files to be read. The File extensions will differ slightly depending on the solver being used, but if the Explicit (SWMM) solver is used the file extensions used will include:

.hyg

.inp

.map

.sw2

.swm

.txt

These files are written to the C:\Users\<user.name>\AppData\Local\Temp\Bentley\SUDA folder. The files will remain there when you close OpenRoads Designer, so that they're available the next time you run the product.

If you compute a lot of scenarios, particularly using a dynamic wave solver and long run times, then the size of all the files in this location can become quite large. You can manually delete these files if the disc space they are taking up is a concern, then recompute just the scenarios that you need the results for.

Settings Files

These folders are used to save settings, such as customized tooltips, queries, and FlexTables:

C:\Users\<user.name>\AppData\Local\Bentley\SUDA\10

C:\Users\<user.name>\AppData\Local\Bentley\SUE\10

Log Files

These folders are used to save a log file:

C:\Users\<user.name>\AppData\Local\Bentley\SUDA\10\SUDA.log

C:\Users\<user.name>\AppData\Local\Bentley\SUE\10\SUE.log

The size of these files will grow over time. You can delete these files if the disc space they are taking up is a concern.
