Used to add an associated
analytical member to a physical member. By default, the Add Analytical Member
tool uses part values to set the properties of the new analytical member. You
can override the analytical line location, the analytical member type, and the
member end releases using this tool.

The settings for this tool mimic the settings on the
Analytical Data properties of the
Modify Structural
Attributes
tool.
Setting | Description |

Analytical Line Location
|
Turn on this check box to specify the placement
location of the analytical line. By default, the analytical line will be placed
at the same points as the physical member. Values are:
- At
placement points — Uses the placement points of the physical
member.

At centroid — Uses the placement
location of the member's centroidal axis.

Type

Turn on this check box to specify the type for the
analytical element. Values are:

End Releases
|
This check box is available only if you have
already turned on Type. Turn on End Releases to place the analytical line with
your specified end releases. If you select a Type of Truss, the end release
values are automatically overridden and preset.

releases that you wish to modify.
