Segment Member from Node dialog
This dialog is used to split the selected members into two at a specified distance from a selected end node.
Opens when one or more members is selected and then the tool is selected in the Edit group on the Member ribbon tab.
Note: You must have a member and a node at one end of that
member selected prior to selecting the
tool.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| As a percentage | Select this option to enter the distance as a percentage of the member length. |
| Distance | Type the distance from the selected node to the point along the member where it will be split into two members. |
| Create nodes only | Check this option to create nodes at the specified segment lengths but to leave the selected members undivided. |
