Special member selection dialog
This dialog is used to select members based on special cases like their structural orientation or overlapping with other objects.
Opens when either:
- the Special Selection tool is selected from the Members group on the Data ribbon tab, or
- is selected form the right-click pop-up menu in the view window.
Note: You can select
multiple options in this dialog, but be advised that some combinations will
result in no members being selected (i.e., no member is both vertical
and horizontal).
| Setting | Description |

| Select parallel to X | Check to select members parallel to X axis will be selected. |
| Select parallel to Y | Check to select members parallel to Y axis will be selected. |
| Select parallel to Z | Check to select members parallel to Z axis will be selected. |
| Select horizontal | Check to select in the horizontal plane (XZ) will be selected. |
| Select sloping | Check to select which are not vertical and not in the horizontal will be selected. |
