To add self weight to a load group

To add element self weight to the current load group, use the following procedure.

The program considers self-weight of the members, plates, and solids within the model. The density of the specified material is used for the calculation. The self-weight of every element will be calculated and applied as a uniformly distributed member load. The self weight of plates are placed at the plate joints, regardless of the plate releases.
On the Model ribbon tab, select the Self Weight tool in the Loads group.

A self weight multiplier of -1 is applied in the Y direction to the current load group.
