To align nodes in a straight line, use the following
procedure.
This procedure will align the selected
nodes along an imaginary axis connecting the extreme two nodes in the selection set.
This can be used for member or surface edge nodes.
Select two or more nodes.
Members and surfaces may be in the selection set. This will not affect the
node alignment.
On the Nodal ribbon tab, select the Align
Nodes tool in the Edit group.
The program
calculates the new coordinates for each node so that they lie on a straight
line segment between the end nodes.
