To segment members at intersections

To segment selected members at points where they intersect, use the following procedure.

Select two or more intersecting members.
Tip: In order to avoid unwanted segmentation, you must select the intersecting members in addition to the members you want to segment. The intersecting member will not be segmented, but it is used to identify the joint where you want to add a node and segment a continuous member.
On the Member ribbon tab, select the Segment Member > Segment members at intersections tool in the Edit group.

Tip: You can use Undo to immediately undo this action. You can also use the Merge tool to re-merge members.
