To define diaphragms

To define a rigid diaphragm to a set of nodes, use the following procedure.

Select a set of nodes which will act as a diaphragm.
On the Nodal ribbon tab, select the Diaphragms tool in the Diaphragm group.

The Assign Diaphragm dialog opens.
Select the if the mass center should be calculated by the program or if you want to specify global coordinates manually.
Click OK.

The program will evaluate the nodes and assign the diaphragms automatically.

Diaphragm assignments can be edited by selecting the Diaphragm tool in the Nodes group on the Spreadsheet ribbon tab.

To review the nodes that are parts of diaphragms, select the Numbering > Diaphragm tool in the Toggle Attributes group on the View ribbon tab. Nodes that are part of a diaphragm are highlighted green and the diaphragm number is displayed.
