To turn different snap settings on or off, use the following procedure.

1. Either:

   select the Snap options drop-down in the Model group on the Data ribbon tab

   or

   right-click in the view window and select Snaps from the pop-up menu.

2. Select one of the options to turn on or off.

   Snap name	Description	Snap highlight
   Grids	Snaps to grid intersections for visible grids.	circle
   Nodes	Snaps to existing nodes.	square
   Member end	Snaps to the ends of physical members.	square
   Member middle	Snaps to the mid-point of physical members.	triangle
   Member quarters	Snaps to the one-quarter and three-quarters points of physical members.	x
