Structure Wizard ribbon

Table 1. File group
Tool name Description
Save Save edits made to the current template.
Save As Save the current template with a new file name (file extension .data.xml).
Edit Template Used to edit the template .xml file for the selected template. Refer to the Structure Wizard Template Schema for details on editing the XML.
Note: Locked templates may not be edited.
Table 2. View group
Tool name Description
Load Select a load case or load group for display from the drop-down list.
Display Loads Used to toggle the display of the selected load case or load group in the graphical view.
3D Rendering Used to toggle the 3D rendering display in the graphical view.
Dimensions Used to toggle the display of the overall dimensions of the structure in the graphical view.

Tool name Description


Zoom Window
Used to define the boundaries of a rectangular area of the active view to be displayed within the current view.


Zoom Extents
Fits the current view to display the entire structure limits.


Zoom In
Zoom in the current view by a preset percentage magnification.


Zoom Out
Zoom out the current view by a preset percentage magnification.


Isometric View
View the model as an isometric projection.


Top View
View the foundation mode in plan; from the positive Y axis.


Bottom View
View the structure model from the negative Y axis.


Front View
View the structure model from the positive Z axis.


Back View
View the structure model from the negative Z axis.


Left View
View the structure model from the negative X axis.


Right View
View the structure model from the positive X axis.


Rotate Up
Rotate the structure model forward about the X axis.


Rotate Down
Rotate the foundation mode backward about the X axis.


Rotate Left
Rotate the structure model forward about the Y axis.


Rotate Right
Rotate the structure model backward about the Y axis.


Spin Left
Rotate the structure model forward about the Z axis.


Spin Right
Rotate the structure model backward about the Z axis.
Table 4. Edit group
Tool name Description
New Folder Adds a new folder to the Templates pane.
Cut Used to copy the selected template to the clipboard for pasting in another folder. This deletes the original copy.
Copy Used to copy the selected template to the clipboard for pasting in another folder.
Delete  
Exclude Used to remove a template from the Templates pane.
Note: Locked templates cannot be excluded.
Tip: Hover over a template name to see the full file path to the template .xml file.
Rename Used to rename the selected template.
Reset to default Used to reset the selected template to the default values and options.
Paste Used to paste a template from the clipboard to a folder.
Include Used to select a template .xml file for adding to the Templates panel.
Reset all templates Used to reset all templates to the default values and options.

Tool name Description


Reference Point
Used to graphically select the insertion point for the wizard model into the main model. When the tool is selected, click on a node in the graphical view to select it as the reference point.


Transfer Template
Select this tool to transfer the structure wizard model from the template into the main model. The Insert Wizard dialog opens, which is used to select the coordinate system and a point to which to align the template reference point.
Tip: You can preview the transfer to ensure the alignment is as intended.
