Table 1. Edit group
Tool name Description


Linear Generation
Opens the Node linear generation dialog, which is used to specify the number of nodes to generate between two existing nodes


Circular Generation
Opens the Node circular generation dialog, which is used to generate a circular arc of from a selection of three nodes.


Quadratic Generation
Opens the Node quadrangular generation dialog, which is used to generate a two-dimensional array (i.e., quadrangle) of nodes within a boundary set of four selected nodes.


Member Generation
Select a global direction along which you want to generate members between the selected nodes. The members will be generated from each node to the last node in a line along the selected direction.


Align Member Nodes
Aligns the selected nodes in a straight path between the two end nodes.

Diaphragms
Opens the Assign Diaphragm dialog, which is used to assign diaphragms for lateral loads to a group of nodes.

Fixed
Assigns a "fixed" support to the selected nodes.


Pinned
Assigns a "pinned" support to the selected nodes.


Custom
Opens the Assign Custom Support dialog, which is used to assign custom restraints or spring definitions to a supported node.

Nodal Load
Opens the Add Nodal Load dialog, which is used to define a force or moment acting on the selected nodes.
Note: This tool is inactive if the active load case is a parametric load case (e.g., seismic, response spectrum, or time history).


Enforced Displacements
Opens the Nodal Enforced Displacements dialog, which is used to the effect of support movement on the structure (i.e., support settlement) at the selected nodes.
Note: This tool is inactive if the active load case is a parametric load case (e.g., seismic, response spectrum, or time history).

Time History Load
Opens the Add Time History Load dialog, which is used to apply a force or moment time history load to the selected nodes.
Note: This tool is inactive unless the active load is a time history a time history load case.
