To update an ISM repository

To update an existing ISM repository with changes made to the physical model, use the following procedure.

Note: If no repository has been defined, then the ISM tools other than Create repository are disabled.
  1. On the File ribbon tab, select ISM > Update repository.

    The ISM Synchronization dialog opens.
  2. (Optional) Select to Consider member alignment if needed.
  3. Click the browser folder to locate and specify a repository file name.
  4. Click OK. The Structural Synchronizer application opens in the change management interface.
  5. Select the changes you want to make to the repository.
    1. Select the changes you want to make to the repository and click Accept.
    2. (Optional) Click Preview to review the accepted changes.
    3. Click Update to commit the changes to the repository. The Commit Message dialog opens.
    4. Type a commit message and optionally mark this commit as a Major Change.
    5. Click OK.

    The ISM Sync dialog opens to display the progress of the repository creation.
  6. Click OK. The dialog closes and the Output panel displays the summary of the synchronization action.
