TR.52.3 Member Selection Specification

This command performs member selection operation on specified members based on the American Institute of Timber Construction (AITC 1984) code.

This command may be used to perform member selection according to the AITC 1984 code. The selection is based on the results of the latest analysis and iterations are performed until the least weight member satisfying all the applicable code requirements is obtained. Parameters may be used to control the design and the results are available in a tabular format. Detailed explanations of the selection process and the output are available in D1.G.
