RR 22.12.00-3.1 Deflection Checks for IS 801

Deflection checks for steel members designed to the IS 801 steel code are now available.

This follows the standard method of checking deflections for steel members used in other codes available in STAAD.Pro:

Four new parameters are used to facilitate these checks:

  • CAN - Used to specify if a member is a cantilever or not when checking deflections.
  • DFF - Used to specify the maximum allowable deflection as a ratio of "deflection length"/maximum allowable local deflection. If not specified, then no deflection check is performed.
  • DJ1 - The start joint which defines the "deflection length".
  • DJ2 - The end joint which defines the "deflection length".
