For specifying member offset values and for some
material definition values, as a matter of convenience, use length units of
inches instead of feet.
The STAAD input file commands
generated are:
UNIT INCHES KIP

On the
Geometry ribbon tab, select the
Input Units tool in the
Structure group.
The
Set Input Units pop-up opens.

Select
English as the
Input Units.

Set the
Length input units to
Inch.

Click
Apply.
