Both member 6 and 7 are L 80x60x10, grade A36 steel (Fy = 36 ksi, Fu = 58 ksi).

Assume a net section factor of 0.9, an effective length factor of 0.85, and Ct = 0.9.

Actual compressive stress = P/A = 7,104.23 / 8.41 = 844.74 psi
