Creating a circular load
- Select a load case either in the Load Description tree or using the Load Case Selector list in the Standard toolbar.
- Select the Pressure and Position Units to use for the load.
- Specify the magnitude of the uniform pressure.
- Define the area (footprint) of the load by specifying enter coordinates (Center X, Center Z) and a Radius for the circle.
- Specify a Y Position value to indicate the elevation at which the load is applied.

Specify the No. of Divisions by which the circle will be divided.
Note: STAAD Foundation Advanced does not actually create a true circular boundary for a Circular Load. Instead, the program simulates a circle through the use of pie-shaped wedges as shown in the figure below.
- Click the Add button. The load is added to the load case.
