Introducing SACS CONNECT Edition V14.3- CL

SACS CONNECT Edition V14.3 – SES release includes enhancements including:

Collapse Advanced Updates

  • Torsional Adhesion Soil - Develop a feature to model adhesion soils torsional response in Collapse Advanced.

Precede/Results Viewer Enhancements

  • PSI Results - Precede can now graphically display Unity Check and stresses. To include the PSI results in the Results database, check the “SACS Reports Database” option in the “Static Analysis With Pile/Soil Interaction” Runfile.

Next open Precede Results Viewer using the created database.

  • Added a Load Condition drop-down list in the LOAD tab that improves load condition selection for display.

Pile3D - Base Shear and Moment using Plaxis MoDeTo curves (Tech Preview)

  • This enhancement extends the capability of Pile3D program to apply Base Shear and Base Moment on pile tip to increase accuracy of the pile analysis. This feature has been implemented before using T-Z curves and P-Y curves. This enhancement will use Plaxis MoDeTo curves. This issue is significant for Rigid piles (Heavy - Gravity type piles). This enhancement addresses this issue.

SACS LAN GRID (General Availability)

SACS LAN Grid allows the user to run multiple SACS analyses concurrently while distributing the job on computers accessible on the user’s LAN domain.

The Bentley Grid Analysis Service system consists of the SACS Executive driving the analysis process (Controller), as it communicates with other computers (Nodes) on the LAN with SACS 14.3 installed. These computers are used to run a number of concurrent processes submitted by the Executive and monitored for completion.

SACS Executive will iterate through a list of registered node machines and communicate with the Bentley Grid Analysis Windows Service to submit SACS runs to execute on the remote machine. When the analyses are finished, the Executive will download the necessary output files from the node and clean up the remote directory used to execute the analysis.
