Traffic loading consists in defining Lane placement, Dynamic load allowance, Design Vehicular Live load and Pedestrian load.
Lane placement is determined by:
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Number of lanes | The number of lanes that can be arranged onto the clear roadway width from left to right. |
Mirror | option: by selecting yes/no the lanes are arranged right to left or left to right. Lane list with two columns, first for lane width which is the same for all and the Eccentricity of each lane. |
Dynamic load allowance | in accordance to AASTHO 3.6.2 table 3.6.2.1-1.The factor to be applied to the static load shall be taken as (1+IM /100).

Design Vehicular Live load | In accordance to AASTHO 3.6.1.2, designated HL-93, shall consist of a combination of the design truck or design tandem and design lane load.

Pedestrian Loads | Intensity left and right -pedestrian loads of 3.6 KN/m applied to all sidewalks with eccentricities from CG of the superstructure. |
